Well, here I am again with another mecha deck. This is probably the deck I will stay with all the way till after the restriction list changes. Here's the deck list first as usual, discussion later.

Well, this one doesnt have the original combo I wanted to make, which was the kyuukyuuroid and expressroid speed summon combo, but its quite fast building on hand, which is why I changed it to this version. Basic playing tactic uses giant rat for quick summoning of card gunner to reduce deck size, so as to drop roids in, and hopefully get them back to hand via expressroid. After that, you can use them for powerbond, hand destruction for a big hand of useful stuff, and lots more.

With expressroid in the deck, it is actually quite easy to call out jumbodrill for a massive 6k trampler. It can actually only summon out 2 different roid fusions, namely jumbodrill, and steam gyoroid. However, these 2 are quite sufficient, as its not exactly a rush deck anyway, so you can just store behind all the massive defensers. Get a ladd to 1800 atk, and you will be suprised how long your submarineroid and steamroid lives. Speaking of which, this deck is quite ladd friendly anyway. Steamroid's effect is an effect that cant be negated. So just use any magic, and send steamroid into suicide mission. Quite a easy way to kill it for none frog users. Anyway, I shall not speak too much about this deck anymore, its quite a fun yet strongly playable deck so why not give it a shot?

Structure decks & World Championships 2007

Hello, ladies (if there are any) and germs. Yeah, we have been abit slack, but there hasnt been that much interesting stuff coming up previously, so...... Anyway, just a slight bit of updates on the latest releases in the UDE side.

I'm sure some of you guys have noticed the latest releases with the 2 new structure decks for Jaden Yuki and Syrus Truesdale. But most of you guys probably don't really know what's inside since no deck list is printed on the box. Nope, I will not make a deck list of the whole set as there are tons of crap cards inside which have 0 reason to be there so I shall not bother. But, just a slight mention of the foils inside.

Deck lists are still being updated I believe, and the finals are not included in the report yet, blah blah, but from what I see, champion is a guy from South America, Chile, using a pretty standard Monarch deck with gravekeeper spy, soul exchange. If there is gonna be a good guess for the ban list, you can probably look at the deck lists here. Some how the guys from Japan didn't even make top 4, with only 1 out of 4 in top 8. But hey, they can't use their favourite LADD, Gorz, etc etc, so......

Edit: Hey, looks like the finals report and the deck lists have been updated for top 8. From what I can see with my stamped eye, its 6 monarchs, 1 stall burn, and 1 gadget deck. Guess Raizas are gonna get flushed down the drain soon, so guys with them better sell them pronto.

Dual Monsters ruling

Uhm yah I know this is long overdue but since there are more and more Dual supports I decided to dig up abit. Noob me, it was on the Expert Rules site for quite long just that I never notice lol.

◆デュアルに装備カードを装備した場合・デュアルを効果対象にしているカード
Dual With Equipment cards/Card effects affecting Dual

◇「団結の力」等の装備カードを装備したモンスターをフィールド上でもう一度召喚した場合
装備は外れない。
- Power of unity: When re-summoned, equipment doesnt come off.

◇「早すぎた埋葬」で特殊召喚したモンスターをフィールド上でもう一度召喚した場合
装備は外れない。「このカードが破壊された時～」等の関係は継続する。
- Premature Burial: Since equipment doesn't come off, the "when this card is destroyed, monster is also destroyed" still takes effect.

◇「下克上の首飾り」を装備したモンスターがフィールド上でもう一度召喚した場合
装備モンスターが効果モンスターになり装備対象が不適切になるので外れる。
- Necklace of something something: Since the effect states that u can only attach to normal monster, after dual summon it becomes effect monster, so the equipment target is invalid and so it drops off.

◇「リビングデッドの呼び声」で特殊召喚したモンスターをフィールド上でもう一度召喚した場合
「このカードがフィールド上から離れた時～」等の関係は継続する。
「拷問車輪」も同様
- Call of the Haunted: Not equipment but still stays *attached* to the monster. So Call leaves, so is monster. Same for Nightmare Torture Wheel thing thing.

◇「黙する死者」で特殊召喚して再度召喚した場合
攻撃可能にならない。
- Silent Dead: CANNOT attack =/

So from the Silent Dead example, I would assume Swing of Memories doesn't destroy it at the end of turn.

Short GLAS Combo

Uhm, I am not DS so I dont do OTK combos. Instead, I would do combos where it involves infinity, locks and bug attacks lol.

So here we go Infinity combo!

Recipe: Exodios, Broken Bamboo Sword, Soul Absorbing Bamboo Sword, Black Scorpion Runaway Chik.
Process:
1) Use Chik to keep bouncing the Continuous Magic
2) repeat till happy
3) Exodios is big
4) point and laugh.

Anyway this is just short combo, how you wanna make this into a playable deck, up to you lol.

Another way is using Abyss Soldier and Ocean... Which I think will make into a decent water deck =)

Btw I shouldn't post this (I'm so ashamed!) but whatever, my water deck got raped by Weifeng's E Hero deck T_T Must fix the bloody water deck liaoz =(

Review for GLAS

Uhm I just cut short. It's full of crap. Reasons??
- Too many Anime stuff (roids, cloudians, E Heroes... uhm what's new..)
- Too many themed crap that I have no intention of ever playing (Six Samurai, Aliens, Dual Monsters...)

Gladial Beast is actually cool, but DS ruined it.... So it goes into the second category above. I blame you DS.

But because I believe Konami always likes to give us at least something usable in every set, I looked through the translation files like.... really many times. It was after I saw Gondora's scan in DMComet, that very huge image hit me (literally covering half the screen)

And thus I present to you the best card to use to own the current boring Singapore Metagame! It's ok, you can all thank me later. (I'm talking about Raida + D Hero nonsense in case you have no idea)

When this card is face-up on the field, the effect of Dark attribute monster activated in Graveyard or on the field are negated.

Now can you see why this ugly thing is imbalance? No? Read along...

It pwns 90% of the monsters in a typical Destiny Raida deck.

- Diabolic Guy?? roflmao
- Disk Guy?? hahahahaha
- Doom Guy?? wtfnublol
- Defend Guy!?... Sadly this is the only thing I can't laugh about.. I wanna draw cards =(
- LaDD?? never heard before!! (btw whoever come msg me say LADD is not dark, you ought to be slapped or you may slap yourself, don't even argue "but it is light wat!!" No really, slap yourself again)

As you can see, not only it pwns the main monster, it pwns the whole deck engine. The only way to save you? Side deck 3 Twister just like me (*ding ding* side promotion event! Btw who called me nub when I used Twister? F*K you!!)

Other ways to save yourself includes the usual Emperor line up, Raizer/Mobius will still pwn... and Dark Emperor aka Jinzo will pwn this too. And a "well timed" Heavy Storm too.... *in case you dunno, "" denotes top decking*

But still, it is still useful to fight other decks too. We all know Dark is really such a powerful and gay attribute. It also stop other general stuff such as...

- Gorz (hi bitch, say hi to no burn and no token)
- Killer Tomato
- Sangan
- Giant Virus
- Blah, too long too list, I dunno what the hell you crazy kids put in your deck nowadays....

In conclusion, I'm gonna get 3 pieces of this and reserve 3 spots in my side deck. Sadly they should've printed one for Earth attribute too, then we can screw Gadgets as well.

Gay combo!!!! GLAS imbalance????

Well now, lets first talk about my pack opening experience. I opened 12 packs, and with some luck, I managed to 5 foils in total within the 12 packs. However, I did not get a single Expressroid, which is what I really needed. Here comes the sad part. I opened 18 continuous packs, and got 0 foils before I finally got the expressroid. Anyway, from what I belive, there is only 1 copy of each roid available in each box, so good luck to people building roid related decks siah.

So after opening a full box, was not very happy, so opened another fresh box, and managed to get 4 foils in 8 packs. Pretty not bad in the end, since I got 9 foils in 38 packs, so like a 1/4 rate? Ah well. Here are the foils I got.

1 Cloudian Eye of the Typhoon

Apparently there are 4 common rares again, though I'm not sure if they are that rare anymore since I got 2 copies of 2 types, namely Swing of Memories and Soul-Hunting Bamboo Sword, so...

Anyway, as promised, here is the gay combo I have discovered.

Slave Ape
Earth/Beast/2/700/300
When this card is destroy as a result of battle and is send to Graveyard, you may special summon a [Gladial Beast] monster with level 4 or less from your deck to your field.

I have no idea why everyone is talking about the normal rare Gladial Beast - Sectol when this card is 5 million times stronger. Don't understand? Look at the stats! Still don't understand? Noob!!!! Just kidding, or not. Let's paint the scene for you guys.

Opp Field: Loving E-Hero Airman
Hand: Rescue Cat, Forced Rotation

Get it? Just summon rescue cat, and sacrifice it to bring out 2 slave apes. Next, force rotate 1 over, and let both suicide to bring out 2 copies of Gladial Beast - Dicaeri, and all direct attack. Assuming there isn't all mighty gorz somewhere, that makes 1600 * 2 + 1800 for a nice 5000 dmg!

At this point, people who have studied the spoilers would have thought of something. Why don't I summon the 1800 Gladial beast for an extra 400 dmg? Well, this brings us to our final part of the combo....

Gladial Beast - Alexander
Light/Beast/6/2400/600
This card cannot be special summon outside of by effect of [Gladial Beast - Dicaeri]. When this card is successfully special summon when this card is face-up on your field, this card is not affect by the effect of Magic cards. When this card battles you can return this card to your deck at the end of Battle Phase, then special summon a [Gladial Beast] monster from your deck outside of [Gladial Beast - Alexander].

See this card which looks normal, yet ends up crazily overpowered with the combo? At the end of the battle phase, simply return the 2 Dicaeris to summon Alexander. Hey, if you have a royal palace, I would say thats quite half the game won. Anycase, you 've still gained a 2 card advantage over the opponent.

And of course finally, what's DSummon here for if I do NOT produce an OTK! It's the exact same scenario as before with slave ape, but lets have a Green Baboon in the grave this time. Then, instead of Dicaeri, lets call Raquel instead. With the death of the slave apes, you get to pay 1k lp for baboon to come out. And again, without noobish gorz, you get 1800 * 3 + 2600 for exactly 8k! (Remember the Airman here ah)

And yes, ladies and germs, thats quite it at the moment, as I'm gonna get complains of god length reviews again. I will try and add the pictures in if possible later, but then again, may not as it will further increase the length. Bye bee! Akira-Sama!

Looking back for Jurong Tournament

Ok I shall cut short all the rubbish intro and go straight into the looking back. Warning, there's really nothing much of notable play since its mostly Summon Airman and Search for Ocean, so yah I'll just put down notable/funny stuff. Btw Deck list can be found directly below this post.

Match 1 - Vs Unknown (sorry I forgot the name)

Used Bottomless against my Airman which I protected with My Body as a Shield!!
And yah Just rushed for both rounds.

Match 2 - Vs DSummon (oh noes its the ass!)

Lost the first round due to me guessing wrongly on the Ming Tui Li which was 7 and he Metamorphosis a Cyber Ogre 2 + Megamorph>, bitch!
Side decked Mask of Restrict and Banisher of Radiance to counter Monster Gate and Card Gunner.
Activated my Mask in response to his Snatch Steal hohoho, followed by Solemn Judgement on his Hurricane and rush his ass. Pretty much the same thing for final game.

Match 3 - Vs GreatGuy (I hate LaDD decks T_T)

Solemn Judgement-ed his Light and Darkness Dragon summon since I had all magic in hand and no way to kill it. He drew and drew and drew form all the Destiny Draw and Disk Guy. He left his Defend Guy up and I ahd Ocean + Sealing Sword and managed to earn some card back and rush back.
I forgot whether it was the first or the 2nd game but I covered 5 m/t, 2 of them was Solemn Judgement lol.

Match 4 - Vs Tony (aka Gay dog!!!)

I got beaten by Double guy and DDV and rubbish for the first game.
Third game was the nicest! I thought my hand was really horrible.
He used torrential when I summoned Airman and declare destroy M/T, I use Solemn Judgement!
And then the next turn he sacrifice 2 monsters to summon LaDD!! I Solemn-ed that too!! My life was really low now, like 750 =(
I thought "got chance!!!"
Then he opened Destruction Ring on my Airman, I opened my 3rd Solemn Judgement LOL!!!!

Match 5 - Vs Unknown (hi I'm sorry I forgot your name too)

This is probably the most stressful fight. The first round it was quite depressing with shocker there and my traps were all non functional. Somehow managed to kill it and won.
Second round on the other hand, I thought I really die liao. He had Mobius, Shocker, Drillroid. I had 2 Hydrogeddon, Airman and a face down The Heat.He killed everything except my Airman. My face down card was Emergency Call and Sakuretsu. I top deck Controller hohoho. Use Airman whack Drillroid, Controller sac Airman take Shocker and whack Mobius! Clear field!
Then few turns later my Airman died due to Snipe Stalker and I had Ocean Left, then he flip summoned D Girl and whack whack. At this point I had only 700 LP left. I was cursing on why I didn't normal summon The Heat on my previous turn coz I had a face down Controller. So yeah I did the normal thing of letting my Ocean die with Stalker and used controller to turn D girl. I top deck into Solemn. Used my Heat and whack D girl and he out. Then I top deck Vortex (i have no hand btw) But my face down E was still around!! so I used it and got my last Ocean. Managed to recur back Airman and win since I had Solemn >=D

Top 8 Match 1 - Vs Himura (banana u sux!)

First round was really struggling as he kept camping with his Marshmallow and Banisher there, there was really nothing I could do. Then when I finally cleared his field, at the last moment, he Metamorped a Dragon Warrior and Killed my Ocean. I top deck intro Reinforcement. At this point, I think I couldnt think properly liao, I had few hundred left LP. My covered card is Shrink, which couldnt affect the cb Warrior. Then my D girl also die liao. Then I just died... Then after that I realise i still have The Heat in my deck. I had Airman on my field so yeah, it would've been big enough to die together with Dragon Warrior!!! Argh, noobish mistake =(
2nd round was pretty much rape, my hand was like cb...

Note: At this point of time I sian liao, no chance to win DDV nb!!

Top 8 Match 2 - Vs Yong Xiang (not the ahbeng Yong Siang =X)

He was Playing Kuribo + SkyLord. I just chiong liao, no mood. Won Somehow lol
Second Round I Side Kaikuu and Radiance. He managed to summon Norreras and used its effect. I chained with bottomless and Matter Transfer Device on my Airman. He drae Early Burial!! WHere is there balance! But yah I survived and kept my Ocean alive and the usual things happened! Victory! =D

Top 8 Match 3 - Vs GreatGuy (yet again!)

Well it was the same thing, I forgot wat happened for first match.
Second match, I managed to lock him with Kaikuu and Mask of Restrict on the field and I covered Solemn. He cannot sacrifice anything, cannot remove Diabolic (well I out liao anyways together with frog) and yah, his hand actually super god like lol. There was Destiny Draw, LaDD and all the usual CB cards! Phew!

Final Standing: 5th =(

Damn you banana, I only lost to you! This tells us all a story.

In the end I got Pot of Avarice from the prize pool and my consolation was Gilford the Lightning =(

Previously known as My Ha Oh deck with repeated use of Airman! Little Bit modification on the monsters and try out some japanese variation aka the 3 Hydrogeddon. Used to use Another Neos and other stuff. This is the kind of deck that would prevent Konami for ever unrestricting Airman, coz 1 is enough!

Tournament this sunday July 08th?????

Yeo kiddies,

As you guys have probably heard by now, or maybe some of you guys still dun, there is a tournament coming up this Sunday in Jurong area, walking distance from Lakeside MRT. Exact way to get there, not sure. Just meet Himura 1pm at lakeside MRT. Dun know who he is? I DUN CARE! Go find out yourself, heh.

Anyway, this tournament is set up to try and get people down to Jurong as well, cause as you can see from our middle fingers, we're quite out of places to play at the moment, so we're trying to make Jurong the new good area to play. There are seats for 20+ odd? There's aircon, tons of coffeeshops in the area, heck, quite all the things a card player needs. Only problem is its rather far walking distance and quite far off in the east, but I would say we are at an all time low for playing areas at the moment, so yeah, why not? Anywayz, enough crapping, here are some details on the tournament.

Trip to the Wild Wild West!

Well ladies and germs. Finally back from my USA trip, as some of you guys have heard. Went there on a business trip but shall not bore you guys on the details of that part. Here's some of the things that happened at a card shop over there. By the way, be warned. This post, is god length, as it quite involves 10 hours of story.

Shop Name: Your Move Games
City: Boston, MA
Location: 3 min walk from Davis Square MRT station

Well, not exactly boston city, but you will be able to see that particular station from there so getting there shouldnt be a problem. I spent half a day walking around Boston city itself, and found a couple of comic shops, but all of them had nothing to do with card players. They recommended me to the shop above mentioned, so I headed over the next day.

I headed there very early at about 10am as there was a shuttle bus available from my hotel to Davis Sq directly, but the shop was closed, (quite obviously), so I left, and toured the city abit more, and returned at about 1pm, where there was nobody around save for the shopkeeper, Darius. Darius is a great guy, and gave me lots of information on the on goings for YGO over in America. He's even a judge for several UDE games as well.

As alot of people know, they just started playing machine duplication over there only for card gunner, so I decided to tell Darius about my other combos for them, such as gunner dragon with meteor bow and duplicate, etc. He got pretty excited, as non of them ever though of such a combo. I was actually quite proud, when he immediately got on MSN, and messaged his friends to tell them about the combo and to help look for the cards so that he could form the deck. LOL, with some luck, you may see one of my machine dup decks in a future top 8? And you noobs dun bother tagging me on this one.

We hit off quite well, and he actually gave me a T-shirt (Chimera Overtech Dragon! Weeee~) when he heard of my interest in getting such items. He also let me get more T shirts as well as a playmat at really good prices. Then to top it off, he gave me some parallel foil promos as gifts.

Well, we talked for quite abit, till about 2+, but still no players came in. Left the shop to go walk around and catch a movie, then finally back again 6+. This time, there were 2 guys there, and we played deck for awhile. The decks were quite the standard ones as in metagame, the dekoichis with monarchs, etc. Then 1 of them started playing with DDT magical explosion. I was playing my Reasoning OTK stuff, so, of course, the expected happened. With half wins, and half losts, purely due to good/bad hands.

After awhile, they had to leave, but luckily another guy arrived. He was quite an interesting character. There were some guys playing Naruto on a PS2 nearby, where they were abit on the rowdy but acceptable side. YS gives me worse stuff anyway. Now this guy was forming his deck, but he got quite irritated I guess. He kept on shouting at them, to keep quiet, at a much louder volume then they were. He was playing this final countdown deck, quite the standard stall version. After a few rounds, he switched to Monarchs as well..... Ok....... Like you guys all know, its kinda boring to play with such decks for me. Even the countdown deck was more interesting? Anyway, as we talked, I found out that he had T shirts at his house, along with more playmats. The playmats he wont sell, though he will show me but yes for the T shirts. I decided to go, since he drove. Before he left though, as the shop was preparing to close, he also shouted to the other guys, trying to get them to clean up the place and stuff.

Along the way, it was quite funny for me. As he went on quite awhile talking about pokemon and the more advanced stuff as he was playing pokemon pearl just before leaving the shop. After going on for half an hour, then he asked me. "You DO know pokemon right?" I was quite amused, and nodded. Well, I did play anyway. Anyway, after a 15 min drive, we reached his place. All his card stuff, save for his T shirts, were all in the boot of his car, and stayed there. Filled with MTG and VS and WOW stuff. Quite a treasure trove, heh.

I got all his T shirts, where he tried to promote me a Ultra Pro haversack which was used, but still in good condition. Well, I personally dislike using haversacks, so I declined. What was funny actually came next. Just as I was about to leave his house, after we had exchanged goodbyes, he suddenly turned back and shouted at me, "Say, do you need any rulings clarified before I go?" I was quite amused by this, as it was after saying good bye. And as some of you guys know, I was actually head judge for a short period of time previously, so didnt quite need any ruling help. As I was thinking, he added on, "I am a level 3 judge, so I can pretty much help with anything?" I declined, internally thinking that we always have discrepencies rulings between UDE and Konami rulings anyway. He then carried on saying, "You SURE? I AM a level 3 JUDGE you know." I was seriously amused by him, as he somehow reminded me of a certain AWOL loving player I know, but I just declined and headed off.

From there on, nothing else card related, so yeah, thats quite about it for my trip.
