White is good. Gonna do a review on some of the synchro monsters. I will start with the two most powerful Synchros in TDGS!
Mental Sphere Demon (MSD) Vs Stardust Dragon!
Depending on situation, both of them are equally strong. Against decks like gadgets, MSD is probably your best friend. Just ram all the gadget and pay 1000 as you go while you gain life back from draining all their gadgets! Say no to Sakuretsu and whatever cool traps they have in their deck! One of the best synchro monsters ever created. It's like having Dragon Warrior all over again, just that this gives you life.
MSD Attack Green Gadget! Sakuretsu Armor Activated! Pay 1000, Gain 1400.
*Next Turn*
MSD Attack Red Gadget! Shrink Activated! Pay 1000, Gain 1300.
*Next Duel please*
Or something to that extend.
Stardust on the other hand, is best used when you are ready to swarm and OTK. Not cool when you are ready to ram only to get owned by Torrential or Mirror Force. Plus when it comes out, it gives abit of pressure on the field. Stupid people who attempts to destroy it and using stupid card like DD crow just wasted 2 cards, grats.
Some ruling effect on Stardust, if it ever goes to your opponent field, when you use its effect, it will return to the original controller lol..
On to the next card!
Nitro Warrior!
Is shit, sorry. Instant Kill for all the tokens though. Combine with Ojyama Tokens! Or Misrevive =/ Otherwise, really seriously cannot make it.
Red Demon Dragon!
Big with somewhat ok effect. Great against those defensive decks that uses 10 million blockers. Marshmallow, Spirit Reaper, Gellan Duo, Stealth Bat blablabla. Of course I'm saying if you ever manage to go through the Gravity Bind/Level B etc. There are better alternatives...
Goyou Guardian!
I think there is no need for further explanation on how powerful this card is. It's 6 stars, its 2800, and it steals monsters.
Onto Duel Terminal Cards!
Dragon of Ice Boundary Brionac!
This is another overpowered synchro. 6 Stars is easy to summon, bouncing cards on the field is pretty gay to a certain extend. This is the engine of Synchro OTKs. Bouncing Premature Burial and Disk Guy like some psycho dude and performing multiple Synchro Summons in a turn is totally cool to look at, but not when you are on the opposite end of the table.
Mist Worm!
A game ender! Bouncing reverse monsters, traps and craps and going for that direct attack feels good! Too bad it requires 1 Tuner + 2 non tuner and has to be 9 stars. It's a very weird number for me. Yes it's easy for some but well, 9 is a really odd number and my deck doesn't accomodate to it.
A.O.J Catastor
Another great Synchro. Rams every single thing out there. Say no to Honest! But well, the whole world is using Dark monsters... meh~
X Saber Urbellum
Low attack but effect is good to a certain extend, and beats Nitro Warrior any day. Simple reason, I dont put stupid cards in my deck *cough*nitro Synchron*cough*
Synchro monsters are like the greatest addition to the game of yugioh. You get to stay on your theme decks, and you get to summon them according to the situations. Of course not every one of them is useful. Looking forward for the next batch of Synchro monsters =)
------------------------------------------------
And to end this crap, I present to you the secret of my Stardust Turbo. It seems that news of me summoning 3 Stardust in a turn has spread far across the island. Plus some people regarded it as bullshit. So here it is...
Emergency Teleport
Instant Spell
Special summon one Level 1-3 Psychic monster from your hand or deck. The monster summoned by this effect is removed at the end of the turn.
Special summoning Level 1-3 Psychic from the deck is imbalanced? Totally no cost at all. You just need to put some stupid psychic monsters in your deck. And you can skip the drawback. Why, when you special summon small useless monsters, you will probably use it as tribute fodder.
So you can use it, sac for our favourite Emperors, BlooD and anything nice. Of course as for me, I select only those that are tuners. Plus its a Spell speed 2. So you can do stupid things when opponent decides to use a Creature Swap on you.
Another help is Junk Synchron! This is like the most powerful tuner! Summoning additional monster from your grave really helps alot for synchro summoning. Plus, its a warrior, it's dark, and small enough to be retrieved by Dark Burst (not that everyone uses it that way).
So here's what happened somewhere in the middle of the duel...
Note: The following are situational. Failure to recreate the scenario is none of my business. Yugioh is about luck, sometime you have it, sometimes you don't.
Cyber Dragon(5) + Junk Synchron(3) => Clevonce(2) = 10 stars
- Use Enemy Controller and throw the damn Clevonce away for whatever your opponent has. In my case it was a Jinzo.
Cyber Dragon(5) + Junk Synchron(3) + Jinzo (6) = 14 stars
- Emergency teleport here
Cyber Dragon(5) + Junk Synchron(3) + Jinzo (6) + Clevonce (2) = 16 stars (gratz we have 2 stardust already)
- Synchro those and what do we have, oh noes 3 dark monsters!
Special Summon Dark armed dragon and pew pew the field if you have to. We have 3 overpowered monster on the field =/
* At this point you might go crazy and use another Emergency Teleport to summon Mental Master (1) to summon your last Stardust for the heck of it*
Lucky hand? Not really, Diskguy and Limit Rebirth and Angel Lift is overpowered. =D

New Banner!
Which is ugly lalala. Gonna edit once I'm free. Temporary banner =/ 10 mins work lol. Btw the whole freaking blog is distorted when I view with firefox. Anyone else have this problem? It's fine when I view on Internet Explorer.
Good bye middle finger series.
---------------------------------------
Might as well. Gonna do a card review which the blog is lacking these few days. And of course its...

I've never seen people go crazy for a fusion monster ever since Thousand Eyes Sacrifice and Cyber Series. Well can't blame them, the art is like so cool and the effect is pretty good too. I am guilty of buying many many packs just to get this, in the end? I got 5 Goyou Guardian, 3 Nitro, 2 Red Demon, 1 Mental Sphere and like finally 2 Stardust!
Now people might call me crazy, but I wished it was a little bigger. It's not funny when people use Goyou and attempt to scam your Stardust. Or maybe Goyou is just imbalanced... Stealing Opponent's Disk Guy and Gorz and Dark Creator lolol. Ok saving that for another card review.
Sadly, Stardust is easily countered by Gaius and Raiza. The two most famous emperors that I have been ranting to be restricted. Gaius is pretty soon lol. if I wasn't playing some draw whore deck, you will lose in terms of card advantage.
Ok people, I shall not say anything about how to summon this. I swear it's damn easy to summon this. If I say, it would probably be wasting a whole paragraph of stating the obvious.
In the end, I feel that it's not really really overpowered like some people think. Yes summoning 3 in one turn and sending them all to smash face is overpowered, but one single Stardust is not that bad. There are alot of ways to kill it, it's just that the current metagame decks are not made to fight this, except those that already have 3 Gaius in their decks... Just wait a few more weeks, you will see the craze for Stardust lower as people are tuning their decks to include cards to counter it.
Sell now while it's still hot hot hot!!!

The genesis has begun!
Singapore had a super early release yesterday. Got my box. Full of shit =( /emo
The set is mostly filled with synchro tuner blabla. And of course about 1/4 of the set is filled with Psychic and their supports. I still don't know what you wanna do with all their pay life point effects. And this is not even Lightlords, similiarly going suicidal but I don't see how you are gonna kill your opponent.
Paying LP should have imbalance effects *cough*Delinquent Duo*Cough*Confiscation*cough*Dimension Fusion*cough* and so on...
The theme of burning yourself is very familiar though. VS System's Shadowpact lol. But paying 1000? That's 1/8 of your LP lol. VS system has 50 life! and you pay mostly single digits!
And in this metagame where 8000 lp is not enough, I don't think you can make a deck based on psyhics (unless I miss something, really...)
Just imagine paying like a Cabalist and a Destructor once, on your opponent turn he summon a *Insert a random monster that can be special summoned and is big here*. Suddenly you died lol.
Ok enough about psychics, another theme that Konami has been bringing back is the revival of small monsters...
- Limit Rebirth
- Angel Lift
- Some stupid spirit cat
Disc Guy gonna be banned soon imo. I am inspired to make a deck just for the sake of drawing...
I'm currently ignoring the Synchros, except Stardust just because it looks good. Another article would be coming once I'm more enlightened and search the deeper meaning of the set! (unless there's none, then this set sucks =D)
----------------------------------
Edit:
Found a little bit of enlightenment today. Drawing 5-7 cards per turn is too much too handle. I need a way to discard my cards (for something useful)!!!!
Mr Alex Goh was an unfortunate victim of getting rammed by 3 Stardust. Gratz Alex. Btw seems like the some of the psychics and its support are somewhat strong. Gayer deck inc soon!
Last words.... Special summons needs to be nerfed! I'm not talking about just the synchros, but the old school Dark Armed Dragon shit nonsense as well. And Gaius is overpowered (my stardust=~()

Look back at the tournament???
Alrighty, its been a good 3 days after the tournament and its finally my turn to post a looking back topic finally. Been busy the last 2 days running around the place so just didnt have a chance to sit down and do it. Anywayz... heres some thoughts first based on the organization and stuff. (Get ready for a long post with abit of ranting)
As most people found out by now, yes, yours truely was the head judge for that day. There was quite abit of planning and discussion this time round, and with me with the old gang of Julian as TO, Calvin as Asst TO, and familiar faces as the judges like Kenneth, GG, Banana as the judges I do hope that there was very minimal cock ups this time round. I do know that for each round of the swiss, I practically made a good 7-8 rounds around the room settling ruling issues and stuff. Hope it was worth it, heh.
Anyway, IMO, still feel this time's round tournament was much more well organized as compared to the x'*cough* tournament. Well, partially also due to the fact that we had a nice holding room for the players when they were done which helped alot, but in the end its the people that made the difference I think. At least this time round I don't hear of any ruling complaints after the tournament. The x'*cough* tournament, I reached home that night I hear tons of comments liao, which I seriously LOL over quite most of them.
With regards to the protectors issue, just a slight apology on them. I do know that I previously posted I believe on the forum, that I had managed to ask for the issue to be overlooked. However, we the judges also got dropped a bomb when JJ's boss practically called up my TO who informed us we cannot overlook it, only at about 10pm the night before. Worse was the deck protector inspection. Zzzzz... All of us practically got a shock when the konami lady suddenly stood up and blocked the way to request for protector check. Seriously quite ignoring us judges who were all there actually. If anybody would like to complain why there were only 6 swiss rounds.... She took up a good 30+ mins for the check, thats where the 7th round went.
Then with regards to the cap on the number of people, another apology there... As mentioned, the plan was originally to actually accept people up to 0930 then we cut it off from there strictly. However, at the last min at 0830, JJ's boss then came over to tell us that he wanted to restrict it to the 160+ people. I tried to call whoever I could to inform them to better rush over already but yeah. Anyway from what I know, the number was filled up only at about 0915 so not that bad I guess. My apologies for those who arrived that last 15 mins. Maybe try coming earlier next time. In case other people organize next time, I will also come early to avoid same problem liao. (Just on the side, apparently there were people offering $5 to $10 to get people to let them their places in the tournament. Abit zzzz if you ask me, though not totally not understandable)
Anyway, that was all about before the finals. I believe swiss went pass quite uneventfully, so I shall skip my post to the finals. Do correct me if Im wrong yah? Anyway, here are some exclusive photos, which only judges have the chance to take for you. Complimentary of Orchi aka Snowboi aka Balde (LOL)

Quarter finals for the hong kong rep vs Fish here. Tsk, banana looks like he's looking at hp, what are my judges doing. (I see the big crowd at the back looking around....)

Here we are with the Malaysia reprensentive versus our Hong Li here. Drastic drop off is hereby declared as tech card of the day. (Not sure what's shocking my judge here, but I just see a nice big open mouth there, LOL)

Here's the Taiwan rep, versus our shifu over here. As I recall, he's the only rep who requested a full table shuffle.
Oh, but he's quite a perfect duelist though.Every turn also draw phase anything happen? Standby phase, blah blah. Best for judges, LOL. But abit much lah, when shifu dun cover anything on field he also ask that.
And finally, our korea rep VS Sui Kai with the very expensive shirt and shoes. According to sources, total cost of both is over $500+. No wonder can get 2nd in Asia, LOL.
MPV card will have to be DDV here. Both rounds which he won he used DDV, with opp having at least 2 to discard and 1 on field to clear, which also is both times the opponent's only monster.
Anyway, thats all for my pics. After the semi finals, I got real sianz, cause I heard about the prizes only at this point, which is top 4 for the singapore tournament and top 4 for the asian tournament. WHICH IS CRAP!!! Seriously, my foreigners all walk home with nothing while my locals walk off with double the prizes. Zzzzz.... My TO and Asst TO went to talk to Jimmy (JJ's boss) to try and appeal the decision but Jimmy insisted to maintain so..... Seriously bad move imo... Either way this prizes was set, if any foreigner lost at quarter final, he would already have gone home with nothing. Real zzzzz......... When I saw the 8 prizes in the morn, I thought it would be for all the top 8, not like this lor.... If any of the foreign players are reading this, I would like to apologise to them on all the Singapore players behalf. Seriously shame on us that they walk home with nothing... Sigh.....
Anyway, that was the end of it all. Not very happy with all the last minute stuff, but at least it was all controllable external things that happened, at least not by my team of judges and I hope everyone had a fun day! My only regret? I DONT GET TO KEEP THE T-SHIRT!!!!! Sad..... Next time I think I really disappear alr, at least I would have got to keep the shirt. Oh wellz... This is the end of my very long post. DS, signing off!

5 days to tournament!
Well, its now counting down just 5 more days to the upcoming tournament. Which is free btw, in case any of you noobs still havent heard the news. Heres abit more info on the news for you peeps to look at in case you all still do not know about the forum.
http://sg-ygo.userboard.net/yugioh-chit-chat-corner-f11/card-restriction-and-other-information-for-asia-competition-t330.htm
Anywayz, as some of you guys have heard by now, Im to tentatively be the head judge for this upcoming tourney. Woohoo, time to take out official tag and dq Jeff. (Yes yes, you all can stop the clapping, thank you) Why do I say tentatively? Well, theres some issues here and there, but to cut it short without revealing too much... Thou shall be rewarded for thy work, thats all I say. So for all you guys know, I may suddenly change to player status and start playing? LOL
Meanwhiles...... This is already occuring so what the heck, if you guys have any ruling questions about your own deck espescially, better post it quick in tag board or something so i can try and answer them now first. As usual, any idiot who does not even know his own deck cards well and has ruling questions or worse, own deck's card effect question, will be labelled as brat and noob status.
Back to some thoughts on this tourney, I figure I will see a good half of the decks to be DAD varient decks, maybe 1/3 or so to be ladd/monarch/gadget varients, the remainder may be some otk varients, for all i know even of the decks which i posted here. Or maybe taken from metagame, the 2nd place winner deck with his ftk? Oh wellz, we shall see on that day. It will also be interesting to see what the overseas champion will use. Maybe I shall go there and show them my FTK and let them see, MUAHAHAHAHA. I guess everyone's dream will be to somewhat go there, and pawn all 4 of them and self proclaim better then the foreign players? Note, dream, LOL. (No offence to the foreign players, I mean the champs are the ones coming after all, who doesnt love a challenge?)
