New Promotional Pack cards

For some of you who didnt know, Konami (Japan) does a YGO promotion every start of the year, where you can get a promotion pack together with every 600 yen purchase (About $6USD or $9SGD), which would include the cards from the Jump Fiesta pack (Japan manga event held at the end of the year)

This time round they have 5 new cards added to the list, here they are! (In order from left to right)

Reactant, the Earth Suppressor Dragon
EARTH/Dragon/4/1800/1200
Activate this effect by discarding this card and either 1 Dragon-Type or EARTH Monster. Special Summon 1 "Redox, the Rigid Suppressor Dragon" from your Deck. The Monster Special Summoned by this effect cannot attack during this turn. The effect of "Reactant, the Earth Suppressor Dragon" can only be used once per turn.

Thoughts: I would much rather have Redox in hand for you to use its revival effect, though this would act as a tutor for it. Discard Fortress with Reactant to bring out Redox, then discard Cannon for Fortress. With that in mind, it may work out nicely in the pure Machina deck which has lesser basics.


Stream, the Water Suppressor Dragon
WATER/Dragon/4/1600/2000
Activate this effect by discarding this card and either 1 Dragon-Type or WATER Monster. Special Summon 1 "Tidal, the Waterfall Suppressor Dragon" from your Deck. The Monster Special Summoned by this effect cannot attack during this turn. The effect of "Stream, the Water Suppressor Dragon" can only be used once per turn.

Thoughts: This card suddenly makes Tidal playable in Mermails. Tidal would not trigger Atlanteans effects, but Stream would. Discard Stream and Dragoon, bring out Tidal, search some Diva, and..... You get the idea. Might end up as an Undine replacement should it somehow get the ban hammer?

Dark Fighter
Wind/Machine/3/1300/1400
Release a token(s) on your field that are a total of level 3 or more. Special summon this card from hand or grave. The effect of Dark Fighter can only be used once per turn.

Thoughts: Seems designed for Phantom Beast Planes, but not very useful. You wouldnt want to get rid of your tokens that protect your PBPs. Crazy thought. Ham-Strato revives Ray-Stealth, sac last token for Dark Fighter. Xyz your 3 monsters  No 34: Terror-Byte!!!

Interplanetarypurplythorny Beast
Dark/Beast/5/1100/2200
While this card is in the grave, when a monster on your field is destroyed by battle and sent to Grave, you may special summon this card from Grave. If you do, remove this card from game when it leaves the field. Interplanetarypurplythorny Beast's effect can only be activated once per turn.  

Thoughts: Seems to be a more usable version of Dragon though with lousier stats. Main abuse method would be to exceed, though not sure of any level 5 Xyz deck that could use this. Giant Rat suicide for Wind-Up Warrior and revive Beast for some rank 5 action? Maybe that would work if Wind-Up ever becomes some kinda beatdown deck.

And of course Rio Kamishiro token looks pretty nice. Hope that we can get the promotional pack in Singapore too! Also good to see that the Elemental Dragons are getting quite abit of support.
