Hi guys, Duelingdays is here in Malaysia! We're here to check out the qualifiers today and just enjoy a weekend of YGO. The post is updated and here are some photos of the event and a quite run through the event, click on!
Registration on going here at 9+am~
Lots of people here also doing up deck list.
Quite a lot of people doing up deck lists still, using unopened shop carts and various spots to do up the lists.
And the tournament is under way! Here's a photo of an on-going match. (People may look familiar to some of you, LOL)
And here are the prizes! First photo is a close up of the first prize, while the second photo is of the prizes for the top 3. The playmat that you see being given next to the prizes is the new playmat given to the participants.
Well, for us Singaporeans who are there to just join in the 'festivities', we just concentrated mainly on trading and also talking to the local players. It was a pretty fun experience for me and Bahamut, since both of us were dressed in the Duelingdays t-shirt, so we got recognized by quite a lot of people, so we had a chance to speak to quite a lot of people. We also got a chance to meet up with some of the other Malaysian bloggers to chat with them. The t-shirt even had advertising effects with people taking down our blog address stating that they will start coming to the blog.
As the tournament heats up (And more players are eliminated by the single elimination format), more and more players start to crowd around the players.
Here's some photos of the top 20 players. (This segment was a last minute 3 round swiss format to reduce the top 20 players to the top 8)
The top 8 pairings!
For those interested, the top 8 consists of 4 Inzektors, 1 Agent Angel, 2 Heirogylph (1 was Baha's Ninja Heiroglyph build used by Clarence) and 1 Gravekeepers
Above photos are the top 8 players playing it out. The players are seated in the same order as the table pairings from above.
Finals match are up!
Kee Kian Sim (Inzektors) vs Lim Guo Quan (Heiroglyph) for top 2, then Cheong Yat Weng (Inzektors) vs Yeo Gou Jie (Inzektors) for 3rd/4th place.
And the results are out! in 4th place is Cheong Yat Weng .
In 3rd place, Yeo Gou Jie
In 2nd place, Lim Guo Quan (Also known as blogger LGQ)
And in top place, Kee Kian Sim!
Here is a photo of the top 4 players with our Malaysian judge and blogger Cookie.
And thats the end of the day! After the tournament, we pretty much rushed off to the bus terminal to have dinner and got on the bus to rush home, with us reaching in Singapore only at about 3+am. Pretty much also the main reason why this blog post is so late since I was exhausted. Hope you enjoyed it and look forward to next month's update! (Since I am the head judge so this update may have to come abit late also. Will try my best~)
PS: To all our old readers and new readers who just joined us, thanks for saying hi to us when we were in Malaysia and hope you enjoyed the post!
