Bahamut's Dragunity

The current hot topic to talk about.

Been play testing different builds recently and I feel they are like BF.

The deck is able to:
1) Beatdown (Laevatin is a slut)
2) Field Removal (Aklys spamming is delicious)
3) Easy Synchro (Pulling Phalanx from grave for free)
4) Deck Searching and Draw (Canyon and optional Card of Consonance)
5) OTK (Laevatin pull Phalanx and Synchro into Trident Dragion, Red Eyes Darkness spam blabla)

And many other random stuff.

So far, I've seen a few different builds on the internet and locals.

Spamming Red Eyes Darkness Metal (shortened as Redame now), Core Chimair Drago, and of course the dreaded Laevatin LADD loop which may sound scary at first, but dies to Book of Moon like a dog. Very very fast field flood though.

This is more on the control build. Utilizing Legion and Dux to keep pulling Aklys and Phalanx while calling Laevatin every now and then for complete field destruction.

Cyber Darks
Instead of using Dux and Legion, you now have this cute machines that are Dark. Meaning you can now use Allure, Damudo and everything you have learnt from the past 2 years on how to abuse anything that is Dark.

The current Metagame.
Even though everything about them sounds good, they just happen to come at the wrong time. Everyone is switching decks now to Machina Gadgets and Frog Monarchs and everyone is siding Pulling the Rug, which happens to totally destroy Dux/Legion lol. And then of course there are the occasional grave hatred such as Crow, Crevice and everything nice. It can still be competitive though.

This is the current deck that I am playing. Obviously still needs some tuning here and there to fit into the local metagame.

Monster = 18

[3] Dragunity Arms Laevatin

[2] Dragunity Phalanx
[2] Raiou
[2] DD Crow

Spell =15

[1] Heavy Storm
[1] Cyclone
[1] Brain Control
[3] Book of Moon
[3] Dragon Canyon
[2] Terra Forming
[2] Pot of Duality
[2] Card of Consonance

Trap = 8

[1] Mirror Force

[2] Icarus Attack
[2] Bottomless Traphole

My recent pattern for deck building is simple. First, it must be able to fight Whirlwind BF with ease. Secondly, it must at least be able to put up fight against crazy synchro decks. That would explain the random Raiou and Crow there. The previous build even had Oppression for more Anti Meta feel but replaced them with more Laevatin coz I realised how I run out of monsters in the long run.

The deck is self explanatory and there are really no complicated long combos. Terra Forming, Consonance and Pot of Duality is to increase consistency. Dragon Canyon is a MUST have card. Keep it around long enough and you pretty much have answer for everything.

  1. I love these guys too. They can do everything. What I see people do in DMG is to put in Dandylion and Demonic Roaring God Beast Catsith along with the Dragon Canyon to swarm the field along with destroying more cards on the field.

  2. with catsith
